Bio-Diesel Plant

With growing concern for oil reserves becoming limited globally, it is necessary for possible alternatives which can offer a sustainable fuel source, and ideally not deplete any valuable feedstock to do so. APC are able to offer a Synthetic Fuel Plant which does just that, converting wastes from various sources into a high quality synthetic fuel, by means of a process called Catalytic Depolomorisation.

Hundreds of million years ago the hydrocarbon compounds within biological materials were transformed into an undecayable and environmentally friendly form by a similar catalytic process used to create natural crude oil. This only allowed the release of oxygen into the atmosphere.

Today the same process, now based on new developed Diesel forming catalysts, again allows us to turn the decayable hydrocarbons contained in residuals into undecayable, environmentally friendly Diesel fuel and thus preserve nature. This ties in well with our company vision of "cleaning up the world one mess at a time" and utilises unwanted waste to do so.

Even the problematic waste bitumen, one of the distillation residuals of oil refineries, can be used by this process and produces a Diesel fuel with a Cetan value of above 60, which is a high quality fuel. Hence the reason why this process is especially attractive to countries where the produced Diesel fuel represents a value. In these environments the process can gain high importance as a future fuel supply source.
